Bass on a fly rod, these can be some of the hardest fishing fresh water fish you will ever hookup. To have success with this species you need the right flies. Our tried and tested Bass selection has brought many a trophy Bass to the bank or boat. The Bass shown opposite was caught by one of our tiers using a Cone Head Olive Zuddler, a great multi species pattern and one of our very best selling flies.
For those looking for some top water action tie on one of our Bass Bugs or Bass Poppers you won't be disappointed. Top water Popper and Bass Bug action can be so much fun, there is nothing quite like a trophy Bass or Pike slamming one of these flies.
Suggested rod would be a 6-8 weight with a floating or intermediate weight forward line. These fish will put a head shaking bend in any rod and if you are lucky enough to hook into a 4-6 pounder then hold on.
