"Thank you VERY much Stephen. I received the flies today, and they look awesome. I'm heading out to some pristine trout water on the header waters of the Miramichi - some 5lb + lunker brookies are lurking in these waters... let's see how your flies work. Cheers." Tim Smith, New Brunswick, Canada"

This is where it all started, for generations trophy fish from around the globe have been brought to the banks of famous Scottish rivers like the Dee & the Don. Here in Canada the Fraser River in BC and Miramichi in New Brunswick offer phenomenal opportunities with these classic Spey patterns. Whether using a single or double handed rod, it makes no difference, these are some of the most productive traditional fly patterns in your fly box. This is one of the fastest growing fly fishing sectors in Canadian & the USA. Even here in Southern Ontario there has been a massive resurgence. Fly anglers are recognising that these flies just out perform many of their more modern counterpart, and with educational events and the Grand River Spey Clave bringing a focus to this tradition it will only continue to grow.
You will find above a good selection of traditional Hairwings, Bombers and Buck Bugs, with many more new Spey patterns to be added before the end of the 2009 season. We only use our most talented ReelFlies.ca tiers to produce our Atlantic Salmon, Bombers and Spey Flies. The talent of our tiers shines though in each creation with tightly spun dear hair Bombers and Buck Bugs and Hairwings that are nothing short of individual works of art. Each fly is carefully dressed on a top quality hook from Mustad or Murato.
Well know rivers like the Miramichi in New Brunswick, the Grand River and the Maitland River in Ontario offer the perfect opportunity with these flies.
